To explain this effectively, I must begin at my conversion to and elevation within the ministry of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.According to John 3:3: (KJV); John 3:16: (KJV), Romans 10:9-10: (KJV), and Ephesians 2:8-9: (KJV), my experience began in 1970 when I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord & Savior becoming “born again”, also known as being “saved”, thus beginning my spiritual walk at the First Church Of God In Christ.During my faithful attendance there, I continued to grow in the knowledge of God and was appointed to teach Sunday School.Soon after, I began serving as a Deacon doing what was necessary to insure the successful operation of the Church.
In 1981, I was ordained in the ministry and two years later (1983), I began The Living Word Church Of God In Christ.After successful administration of this Church, I was ordained as the Pastor in 1984.Three years later (1987), while I was participating in the church service praising The Lord, the Holy Spirit in a still small voice within me said, “Get Up and Get Out!Get Up and Get Out, Souls At Any Cost!”.With those words penetrating my spirit, I knew The Lord was commanding me to leave the Church Of God In Christ denomination and Pastor a non-denominational, Christ-centered, Spirit filled church.Obedience to this mandate, together with Acts 1:8: (KJV) and Matthew 28:19-20: (KJV), resulted in the birth of The Living Word Church & World Outreach Ministries (LWC).Hallelujah!
Several years later while choosing The LWC&WOM e-mail address, I decided to include our spiritual mandate:“Souls At Any Cost”, which is also the vision statement and focal point of the ministry.God told me that The Living Word Church & World Outreach Ministries was to be like a hospital.A place where the spiritually sick and dying could come to be healed and resurrected, shown their divine purpose and calling, and given a clear direction to fulfill their destiny.Please remember, that in 1987 when I was given this mandate, the internet was not functioning as it is today.Nevertheless, God knew this day would come, and that we would be questioned regarding our choice to continue using “Souls At Any Cost” as part of our e-mail address, although the word “satan” appears in the middle.
As indicated by John 10:10: (KJV), satan desires to get right in the middle of our lives by causing negative circumstances and situations to occur, but God sent His Son Jesus, that we might have an abundant life.Therefore, according to Luke 10:19: (KJV) , John 16:33: (KJV), and Romans 8:28-38: (KJV) we can remain at peace during these difficult times, regardless of satan’s destructive plans for us, because “If God is for us, who can be against us?”The reality that we, in the Kingdom of God, are aware of is that souls do cost and Jesus Christ paid the ultimate price on the cross.Yet, through His resurrection, we at The Living Word Church & World Outreach Ministries have been given a spiritual mandate to win “Souls At Any Cost”.
